Patient Access
We have an on-line systems that can be used to request your repeat medication called 'PATIENT ACCESS' & 'NHS APP'.
Please REGISTER NOW for the new service so you can continue to order your repeat medication on-line. Click on the link below:
You can also come in to the practice to request to join the new system. The receptionist will be able to print you off a letter that shows your login details. You then need to go on to the website and register to use the service yourself.
If you register on-line without the letter from the practice you will need to bring in photo ID i.e. a passport or driving licence. This will enable to you to fully use the system. Until you bring in ID you will only be able to book one appointment on-line, you will not be able to order repeat medication.
YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER YOUR "EMAIL ADDRESS" THE FIRST TIME YOU REQUEST A PRESCRIPTION, YOU DO NOT NEED TO RE-REGISTER AS A PATIENT.
Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions cannot be taken over the telephone. You can order your repeat medication via:-
- Calling into the surgery and either dropping off the printed repeat medication slip attached to your prescription or by completing a repeat medication form at reception (currently these are to be dropped in our mail box outside as our doors are closed due to COVID-19 guidelines)
- Using the on-line Patient Access System (you will need to register if you haven't already).
- Telephoning your normal pharmacy to order on your behalf.
Please remember that it takes us 72 hours to process your prescription. Prescriptions handed in on a Friday will not be ready for collection until the following Tuesday.
If you regularly need medication for your condition, a repeat request slip will be generated by the computer each time an item is repeated. This slip must accompany each request to ensure the correct medication is prescribed.
Please allow 72hrs (Mon-Fri) before collection. Many Pharmacies can arrange to collect the prescription from us and some will also deliver it to you.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM THE PHARMACY OF ANY REQUESTS FOR PRESCRIPTION COLLECTION.
Please do not request items that are not on your repeat order form.
If the repeat slip is mislaid, please submit a written request for the items required. If you enclose a stamped addressed envelope, your prescription will be returned to you. Otherwise the request can be dropped in at the surgery.
The Practice also has a Medicines Manager who can help with any queries.
