Management Team

Miss D Riley
Practice Manager

Our Practice Manager oversees the operational and management of Northgate Medical Centre, she joined the practice in April 2019. As well as overseeing the Practice, I support our PCN Chester Central in the introduction, development and mentoring of additional roles that offer a wide range of appointments for our patients with services such as physio, mental health, social prescribing, counselling, health and wellbeing, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, dieticians and care coordinator.

Outside of work, I like to keep fit and spend quality time with my family. I am a keen indoor boulderer, and sometimes even venture outdoors for a bit of bouldering on the rock and spend many weekends in Wales walking, camping and hiking with the family and my dog Willow.

Amy
GP Assistant
Our GP Assistant is a healthcare professional, who assists the GPs in managing their patients on a daily basis. They handle various clinical and administrative tasks that help ease the workload of GPs and enhance the patient’s experience at Northgate Medical Centre. Tasks are undertaken by our GP Assistant include handling and prioritising clinical correspondence, scheduling appointments and referrals, managing chronic disease patients, medical tests such as BP, blood tests, urine dipping, flu vaccinations and assists the GP with a dermatology scope on Cinapsis to send dermatology referrals on behalf of the GPs

Medical Receptionists & Administrators

Our Reception Team have a key role in keeping the Practice running smoothly and looking after the interests of the patients. They take a large volume of calls throughout the day and may need to ask you a brief description of your problem in order to direct you to the most appropriate service.

The phones and reception desk can be very busy so if you have to wait, we would welcome your patience. We have a self-check-in system that you can use to book in for your appointment to save going to the reception desk. This is very useful at our busy times and avoids queuing at the desk..
